ContentBoxer Overview
ContentBoxer provides a simple way to publish any unit of content and collect information and payments from your audience.
Built on a powerful tracking, analysis, and reporting system, ContentBoxer supports lead generation, audience development, research surveys, content marketing, and more.
Your content can include documents in virtually any format, including PDFs, HTML files, images, presentations, and office documents.
Simply create a Content Box and upload your file to it. Define registration questions, and then promote your ContentBoxer link.
When users click your ContentBoxer link, they arrive at your ContentBoxer launch page where they must log in or register before viewing your content.
ContentBoxer hosts your user data securely, providing an admin panel where you can view the data in real time and run reports. |
Step 1: Create a Group
In ContentBoxer, an individual piece of content (a file) resides in a Content Box. Content Boxes can be organized into Groups. The maximum number of Boxes is determined by your ContentBoxer Plan.
Step 2: Create a ContentBox
To create a Content Box, upload a file in virtually any content format. Think of a Content Box as a container that may be either locked or unlocked.
Step 3: Lock the Box
Locking the Content Box requires users to to either log in or register, or optionally pay a fee to view your content. Note that unlocking one Box in a Group unlocks the whole Group, enabling a single log-in for your related content.
Step 4: Launch the Box
Copy your ContentBoxer link and promote it on your own Web site, in your email marketing, and on social networks. Your launch page includes a Share widget, so your users can also tell their friends about your content.
Step 5: View Reports
Click the Reports link in your Box Manager for a complete information dashboard. You can view the answers to your custom questions as well as Web stats, including:
- Registered Users – Number of people who have filled out the registration form
- Launch Page Visits – Number of times the page that contains the link to a Content Box has been viewed
- Launch Page Visitors – Count of unique viewers to the launch page
- Content Downloads – Number of times the window containing the content has been opened
- Content Downloaders – Number of unique registered visitors to the window containing the content
- Open Rate – Percentage of registered visitors who opened the content after logging in or registering
- Mass User Detail – A report containing all of the data for each registered user
Your report dashboard also displays the answers to your custom questions, with the option to export all your data to a .CSV or Excel file.
